Former Guidance Software VP and Deputy General Counsel Joins Velocify to Direct Strategic and Tactical Legal Initiatives
Los Angeles – Sept. 22, 2016 — Velocify®, the leading sales acceleration platform, today announced the hire of Joel Ginsberg to serve in the new role of Velocify general counsel, helping the company continue to scale for maximum growth. The former Guidance Software vice president will be responsible for leading strategic and tactical corporate legal initiatives to support Velocify’s evolving needs in the fast-paced, high-growth sales acceleration environment.
Ginsberg joins Velocify from the publicly traded digital forensics company Guidance Software, where he served as vice president and deputy general counsel, demonstrating the ability to manage complex legal, compliance and corporate governance functions in the high-tech industry. In his new role, Ginsberg will oversee all legal and compliance matters for Velocify, including negotiating contracts, managing the company’s commercial transactions, creating internal processes with sales, finance and HR, and managing outside counsel on other general corporate matters. He will report directly to Velocify CEO and President Nick Hedges.

In addition to his work at Guidance Software, where he focused on finding innovative solutions and working through deal issues to drive the business, Ginsberg has more than 10 years of corporate law experience working for prestigious law firms in both New York City and Los Angeles. Ginsberg received his B.A. from the University of Kansas and earned his J.D. from the New York University Law School.
